This months SHIFTm2M - Movement Builders - How to put the Send/Multiply part of your Primary Pathway in place webinar was fantastic. John North and Aaron Daniell led a fantastic interactive session for Movement Builder practitioners to think about and share their experience.
How to build a multiplication strategy needs a mindset shift as most churches focus on training more evangelists which is an addition strategy.
Aaron explained the Multiplication Maturity model by asking 4 key questions:
1. Are we a church that does discipleship?
2. Are we a church that makes disciples?
3. Are we a church that makes disciplemakers?
4. Are we a church that makes multipliers?
I wonder where your church or ministry’s maturity be?
John led the discussion about how to create a multiplication strategy and changing the DNA to become one of “internal multiplication”, how to choose a multiplication strategy and how to plan to identify and develop multiplication leaders.

In our recent webinar we heard how different people have used MyFriends to intentionally grow their ministry.
Fiona shared how she moved a Womens' ministry from a fellowship group to proactively identifying where people were on their spiritual journey and intentionally walking with them.
Tim shared how he and his family live out “Love, Pray and Care” in his street and how he is forming a house church to help his neighbours find out more about Jesus’s story.
Dorothy, from the Door of Hope Church in Launceston, generously shared their experience with MyFriends and how they have used it as
part of the SHIFT m2M Strategy to build a strong disciple making movement and caring community.

After COVID Jules' church's playgroup attendance was at an all time low - they used MyFriends to revitalise how they connected with the community.
Playgroups are an important part of a churches’ ministry to enable church families to connect and grow together and as an outreach by sharing God’s love to families in the local community. This enables churches to stay connected with community and to grow with the next generation.
At Jules’ church, the playgroup ministry was in decline and after COVID only one or two families were coming regularly to the two weekly sessions. The playgroup team wanted to revitalise the ministry and use it as an outreach ministry – showing God’s love to local families.
The team attended the MyFriends training and learnt to intentionally look for ways to love, pray and care for all their families from the moment they showed interest in coming to playgroup.
This caring heart and welcoming nature changed the culture of playgroup. They also had a child focused space with lots of activities at the church’s first Christmas Makers Market.
Fast Forward six months – all the playgroup spots are full and have a waiting list! At the last “All In” Creative Family service over 50 children attended.
