Anyone in the world

As we continue living the MyFriends Lifestyle — loving, praying, and caring for our friends — there are often moments where we think:

“I want to step out more… but I’m not quite sure how.”

This is where the Holy Spirit is so key.

A Spirit-filled life isn’t about having all the answers or getting everything right. It’s about learning to walk closely with God — listening, trusting, and responding as He leads.

The Holy Spirit Leads Us

Jesus said:

“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit… will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” (John 14:26)

We were never meant to do this alone.

The Holy Spirit guides us in conversations, prompts us in moments, and gives us courage when we need it. Often, it’s not about big, dramatic steps — but small, faithful acts of obedience.

And as we respond, we begin to see God at work in ways we never could have planned.

A Simple Story

Christina wanted to invite her Muslim friend to a Christmas concert she and her husband were attending. But when they went to book an extra seat, all the tickets had sold out.

Prompted by the Holy Spirit, her husband offered his ticket instead.

This simple act of care deeply impacted their friend. She was blown away — and it sparked a genuine curiosity about Christianity.

Sometime later, her friend mentioned wanting to visit the Blue Mountains. Christina connected her with a friend who lives there and often welcomes people into her home. As it turned out, this friend’s husband is a pastor originally from a closed Middle Eastern country.

A friendship naturally formed.

Over time, Christina’s friend grew more comfortable around Christians — asking questions, exploring faith, and building trust. As Christina felt prompted by the Holy Spirit, she gently shared more of the gospel, and her friend is now responding with great openness.

When we live a Spirit-filled life, we often find ourselves in moments we wouldn’t have planned — but that turn out to be exactly what someone else needs.

What This Looks Like Practically

Living a Spirit-filled life can be simple:

• Pausing and asking, “Holy Spirit, what are You doing here?”

• Noticing small nudges — a name, a thought, an opportunity

• Taking simple steps of obedience, even when unsure

• Trusting that God is already at work in your friends’ lives

As we Love, Pray, and Care, the Holy Spirit helps guide our next steps.

We don’t have to force conversations.

We don’t have to create opportunities.

We simply learn to join in with what God is already doing.
